Understand What Skills You Need
We will arrange for an impartial and experienced Leadership and Management Adviser, authorised through the Skills Funding Agency,
to help you identify your personal development needs at a meeting at your place of work or other venue convenient to you.
Find the Right Solution
The Adviser knows what solutions and providers will develop your leadership and management skills, and can help you find the
right one to suit your individual needs. Solutions can include:
- Attendance on public classes
- Bespoke courses
- Coaching & mentoring
- Workshop sessions
How It Works
Your grant will pay for 50% of the fees excluding VAT up to the maximum amount of £1,000.
For example:
- If the training programme costs £1,000 + VAT, you can claim back £500
- If the training programme costs £2,000 + VAT, you can claim back £1,000
(Note: For training programmes in excess of £2,000, you can still claim back £1,000.)
And we can deliver the training in groups or on a one-to-one basis.

With a wide range of ILM-approved courses aimed at development of leadership and management within organisations,
we are able to help you in any area of development.
Courses include:
- Management – e.g. Project Management, Change Management and Decision Making
- Business/Job skills – e.g. Time Management, Assertiveness and Communication Skills
- Staff Supervision – e.g. Coaching Skills, Team Building and Conflict Management
- HR Skills – e.g. Interviewing, Stress Management and Train the Trainer
