Do not be constrained by the view that trainers are specialists in their fields: of course, this is often true, but there are many instances where line managers, supervisors or specialists need to pass on knowledge and skills to others in the organisation.

This intensive, hands-on one-day course teaches delegates essential training skills and promotes an understanding of how to teach delegates in the most effective way.

Developing a Training Programme

This intensive, hands-on one-day workshop deals with the process of developing a training programme. By the end of this workshop, delegates will be able to:

  • Recognise when a training need exists for an organisation
  • Understand the basic rules of designing a training programme
  • Use SMART / PPP objectives
  • Write clear, concise training objectives
  • Incorporate relevant methods into the design of a training session
  • Know how and where to research training content
  • Create evaluation strategies
  • Use Kirkpatrick's Four Levels of Evaluation

    This intensive, hands-on one-day workshop gives delegates an understanding of the characteristics of, and methods used by, the most successful trainers. By the end of this workshop, delegates will:

  • Understand what makes a successful trainer
  • Know the different types of trainer
  • Be able to improve their skills in the key areas of questioning, lisening and presentation
  • Delegates who attend should be: The course is designed for trainers, both new and experienced, who wish to improve their skills in a structured way so that they are more effective in getting results from the training they deliver.

    Training Needs Analysis (TNA)

    This intensive, hands-on, one-day workshop, delegates will explore how to accurately identify the training and development needs of three elements: the organization, the occupational groups within it and the individuals working there. They will look at each of the three in turn and work through approaches that are common to all, or unique to one.

    Delegates who attend should be: All managers or supervisors, whether in an HR or line management role, who want an understanding of the purpose and principles of Training Needs Analysis that will form the basis of an ongoing development process for their staff.

    Coaching Skills to Get Results

    This one-day workshop is designed to provide a practical understanding of how to give both support and challenging opportunities to employees, and knowing how and when to coach.

    Delegates who attend should be: Managers and supervisors, present and aspiring, who wish to acquire skills that will enable them to improve employees' performance through coaching.
