General Data Protection Regulation
Activia has been working extensively to ensure we are GDPR compliant
Part of this have been clarifying in what instances we are a Data Controller, or operating as a Data Processor.
We have reached the conclusion that we are the data controllers in most respects, with the exception being where we obtain client information on websites that advertise our courses. Legal counsel has indicated that in those scenarios, we are the Processor, and the advertising websites the Controllers.
We work with thousands of clients. The vast majority are organisations, but we do have private clients too. To ensure that each client has the same experience with regard to how we manage data, we must use our general statement of assurance and various policies.
It would be unmanageable to have different agreements or policies for each client.
Activia and its systems and policies are GDPR compliant, and we have ensured that our website, and those that we advertise on, are all compliant.
