SHAREPOINT SERVER CERTIFICATION TRACKS

How to get your certification in Sharepoint Server

Background information and resources for sharepoint courses that we hope you find useful

THE BENEFITS OF MICROSOFT SHAREPOINT CERTIFICATION

Successfully navigating any of Microsoft's established certification tracks is the standard and unrivalled path for both individuals and organisations, and SharePoint is no exception.

For individuals, the benefits of rewarding careers and higher salaries are well publicised, and for organisations, the commercial advantage of having employees with proven skills who have been trained, and tested, through an independent and authorised programme has immeasurable benefits.

THE ROUTE TO SHAREPOINT CERTIFICATION

Certification can be considered to be in two stages: an initial certification in Office 365, which earns an MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate), followed by full MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) accreditation.

MCSA: OFFICE 365

This certification demonstrates proven skills in transitioning to and administering cloud-hosted business applications with Office 365.

Earning an MCSA: Office 365 certification qualifies you for a position as a 'Software as a Service' (SaaS) administrator; also as a cloud applications administrator who manages Office 365 business productivity applications like Exchange, SharePoint and Lync.

There are two steps in achieving this qualification:

  • Course 20346*, Exam 346: Managing Office 365 Identities and Requirements
  • Course 20346*, Exam 347: Enabling Office 365 Services

*NOTE: Course 20346 covers you for both exams.

MCSA: Office 365

MCSE: SHAREPOINT

Acquire expertise in being able to organise, sync, collaborate and share information across an organisation.

Earning an MCSE: SharePoint certification qualifies you for a role as systems analyst or network analyst.

There are three steps in achieving this qualification:

  • Achieve the MCSA certification (details above)
  • Course 20331, Exam 331: Core Solutions of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013
  • Course 20332, Exam 332: Advanced Solutions of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013

MCSE: SharePoint
